Data Deletion Instructions

You may request deletion of your COD Studio account and all personal data we hold about you at any time. Meta, TikTok, and Snap require app developers to provide a clear deletion path, which this page documents.

What gets deleted

When you request deletion, we remove:

  • Your merchant account (name, email, password hash, preferences).
  • All stores you own (configuration, theme, integrations, custom domains).
  • Order data, abandoned-cart records, and analytics events for those stores.
  • OAuth tokens and API keys for any connected ad / shipping / messaging platform.
  • Published landing pages associated with your account.
  • WhatsApp conversation history and call logs we stored on your behalf.

End-customer records (names, phones, addresses linked to orders) are deleted as part of the store deletion process, unless retention is required by applicable tax / accounting law.

What is NOT deleted

  • Backups are retained on rolling 14-day rotation. Your data will be fully purged from backups within 14 days of the deletion request.
  • Server logs (request logs, error traces) are retained for 30 days for security investigation, then purged. They generally do not contain personal data beyond IP / user-agent.
  • Aggregated, anonymized statistics (e.g. "X merchants used feature Y in Q3") we may retain because they cannot identify you.

How to request deletion

Option 1 — from the dashboard (recommended)

  1. Sign in to your dashboard at codstudio.shop/login.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Scroll to the Delete account section at the bottom.
  4. Click Delete account and confirm. We send a confirmation email.
  5. Click the confirmation link in the email within 24 hours. After confirmation, deletion is irreversible.

Option 2 — by email

If you cannot access your dashboard, send an email to contact@codstudio.shop from the email address registered with your account, with the subject line "Delete my account". We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.

Option 3 — end-customer (you bought something, didn't sign up)

If you are an end-customer who placed an order on a merchant's COD Studio landing page and want your personal data removed:

  1. Contact the merchant you purchased from directly — they own your data and can request deletion on your behalf.
  2. OR email contact@codstudio.shop with the subject "End-customer deletion request"and include: the merchant's domain or store name, the phone number / email you provided at checkout, and the approximate date of the order. We will locate the record and delete it within 30 days.

Revoking platform integrations

If you only want to disconnect a specific third-party integration (e.g. revoke Meta OAuth) without deleting your account:

When you revoke at the platform, we immediately lose access — and we'll delete the cached token from our database on the next scheduled sync.

Timeline

  • Email request acknowledged: within 48 hours.
  • Active database records deleted: within 7 days.
  • Backups purged: within 14 days.
  • Server logs purged: within 30 days.

Confirmation

Once deletion is complete, we send a confirmation email to the address on file. After that, the email is also removed from our records — so save the confirmation for your records.
